Sawyer was born and raised in rural western New York. From kindergarten through eighth grade, he attended a Waldorf school, free of computers, cell phones and internet. It wasn’t until high school that he discovered film and became completely enamored with the medium and its ability to tell stories. After moving to Georgia for school, he got his first chance at film work. Beginning with student shorts and music videos, he quickly worked his way up to professional film work and in 2016 joined IATSE local 491. Over the past years, Sawyer has worked on numerous feature films and network TV shows in the southern Georgia area. When he isn’t working on set, Sawyer enjoys cycling, eating large amounts of mac & cheese and listening to obnoxiously loud music.
